Fan Mail Lyceum Number The junior high enjoyed a splendid lyceum number on electricity. The men had made all their own apparatus, and a very good lecture was given. One of the most extraordinary things which was demonstrated was the electric eye-- ; a machine sensitive to invisible rays of light. The different heart beats of two individuals was shown by a machine which made the heart beat so loudly you could hear it. Many other interesting things were shown to us, such as, electric eye betrayal of a gurglar, although the burglar himself could not see it; an apparatus which could test whether one was lying or not, but which has been ruled out of American courts, because the defendant may not testify against himself. ' DAY FASHION MARIONETTE SHOW REVUE The event of the was Girls Day, April 16. Under the auspices of the girls a matinee dance was given the sixth period with girls choice prevailing. The outstanding feature of the dance was the fash-o- n revue in which the girls from each sewing .class demonstrated the dresses they had made. The seventh period an assembly program was given under the direction of Edith Stewart and La Rue Boulton. In this Ruth Farnworth took the part of a French and discussed the good points of each dress as it was presented. A short skit featuring the girls who had made pajamas was given. It was cleverly done with the theme being the girls day dance Then the prizes were awarded for the best made and appearing dresses. The first prize, which was a lovely white big, was awarded to Nyla Nesbit; second prize, an organdie collar, to Wanda Campbell, third prize, a piece of dress goods, to Mary Jean Skinner; and special award to Bernice Soulier. crowning springs activities e" IF YOU WANT TO JOIN OUR BAND la an unusual and clever program planned by Gordon Hansen, Beth Prestwich and Geo Davis the band offered excellent entertainment. The Junior High has been nothing but excitement for the last few days, since the student body election campaign has been going on. Three parties were represented: Blue, Purple, and Gold. At last the assembly came. Each party had its candidates perform. The students were rather in doubt about- which candidate to vole for, and after some consideration, the following students were elected to fill the offices of the junior high student body next year: president, Stephen Bunnell; Donna Stubbs; secretary, Waldean I vers; President of Girls' Orgam-aztioLa Vern Ginger; president of Boys' Organization, Leland athletic Leo Wells; manager, Farnworth; 8th grade representative, Wanda Campbell.
