Story' A little Southern girl, caught in the turmoil of the Civil War loses her mother and finds her father taken prisoner by a Yankee officer. She pleads with him to free her father. When he does so, both he and the father are sentenced to death. Then she goes to the Great Emancipator, Abraham Lincoln, to plead for her father and the Northern officer. The King gets her release and she and her father leave town, only to be followed by the King. - PADDY ODAY from Ellis Island in a nn!k can and persuades a shy joung ornithologist to hide her until a kind Russian family gives her a home. Her charm wins her friends and love and good fortune to the family.
