Printed by Utah Valley Publishing Co., 67 North First West Street, Provo, Utah. Entered aa second class matter at the Post Office In Provo, Utah, under the t of March 3, 1879 Looking Ahead Traveling along the highway through Utah towns and villages one is impressed w ith the fact that most of them have overlooked early in their history the setting aside of lands for park and municipal purposesIn American Fork, to illustrate, it was necessary only a few months ago to buy a home and demolish a historic residence in order to provide even a small quarter of an acre to add to the half acre owned by the City, to be used for park purposes. While Orem is still the town with wide open spaces it would seem the opportunity should be taken, made, or found, at a very early date to provide ample park facilities for this thriving community. There are still many large tracts near the center of the city which may be purchased at a much lower figure now than will be possible in years to come, and particularly when expensive homes and other buildings have been erected. The same reasoning also applies to plotting the town for future streets. It is understood that the town board is actively considering these problems and that some action may be expected in the near future. These are important matters for the futhre growth and development of the community and should receive the earnest and serious consideration of every citizen. Mrs. Geo. F.
