Arriving Daily Last Call on Whites How to become members It is easy to become a member of the Association and entitled to all of the special rates for its activities. Any resident of Orem and the Lincoln high school district, old or young, of good moral character, is entitled to become a member. You become a member by paying an assessment for any one of the Association's activities, which enrolls you and allows you to participate in the activity you paid the assessment for. There are no obligations upon membership other than that members conduct themselves properly at the functions of the Association; and, of course, if they participate in the programs that they pay the assessment for the particular program in which they participate. Each Ward on Equal Footing Each one of the eight wards (including Windst) will have an equal opportunity to elect its queen for the days festivities. A system of handicaps has been worked out which will place the smaller and more distant wards on an equal footing with the larger wards which are centrally located in Orem. The committee has not announced definitely the size of the handicaps, but it is understood they will be very liberal and will be fair to all wards participating. The voting is so arranged that everyone who votes will have the privilege of not only voting for his or her candidate, but will be entitled to participate at the lowest cost any where in the world, in a very fine and high class recreational program. The thing for ward workers to do is to become very active in urging their friends to attend the recreational programs, or if they cannot come themselves, make their neighbors and friends presents of memberships and assessments paid for the particular evening or month that they want them to enjoy the program. work on the new canning The bmediction was pronounced Interment was by Carl Farley. made m the Provo City Burial Park where J. It is planned by the Committee in charge that the new cannery will do custom work for people of Sharon and nearby stakes It is thought that there are many families that will be glad to bring their own materials and have their canning done at a plant of this kind rather than do the work at home. The cost for such work will be reasonable and well within reach of the average family.
