Of course, the thing that usually decides whether or not the criucism is acceptable is the spirit In which it is given which should be of kind helpfulness. I have a funny idea. I really believe that children help to raise parents just about as much as parents help to raise At least it ought to be children. something that way each helping the other where the other needs help. Children today som times have opportunities of learning that their parents did not dream of and surely it would be the ideal thing to share them. I see no reason why a youngster would be showing lack of respect for his father by saying something like this, Father, you made a mistake in introducing Mrs. Smith to Mr. Jones today. You should have presented the gentleman to the lady. If your parents felt all right about such criticisms, you would feel all right about accepting theirs in the same sweet way, wouldn't you? Perhaps if you accepted their criticism sweetly first, they would accept yours after. Why not talk it over together all of yofl. I? they should happen to be the kind of parents who wont come half way, theres only one thing left you to do stop criticising them. Some parents are like earthquakes and tornadoes, and tnt sun coming up theres just nothing you can do about them but accept them as they are. Some children seem that way too. You are living in your parents home. You must consider the reasons behind their acting as they do and adjust in the happiest way for all of you. I have a lot of faith in .that general discussion you are going to have. Question Box: What does the Church of Jesus Saints do with Christ of Latter-Da- y 'he tithing? Answer: This is a very good question and one which is answered by President Grant each spring at the opening of the Annual Conference of the Church. The amount expended would, of course, vary as the income of the church varies each year. During 1932 the proportion of atl the tithing expended by the church for each department was approximately as follows: 22 To the wards for maintenance 8 To the Stake for maintenince For building ward and stake 9 ... meeting houses ....21 For church For operation of temples 11 For charitable purposes 23 For nvssionary work All the money collected by the bishops is sent directly to the office of the Presiding Bishop.
