Jean had to come in to a committee meeting this afternoon and they went marching on. Good posture aud winning the posture parade contests are a tradition with Lincoln which grows girls, a tradition stronger with the years. The band spepds a good share of its time parading out on the east field in preparation for band contests. The debate students aqd drama students are meeting their contests this week end at the B.Y.U. drama festival and speech tournament. The boyB are out for track and are planning to attend track meets here and there. The tennis courts are in constant use. We need more tennis courts at Lincoln. Why doesnt some enterprising citizen donate a few? Student Body Elections are in the air. It always seems odd to-- think - of the younger students handling the business of the school and yet when next year comes they will be as grown up and competent as these who are leaving. Only Six Weeks , remain In this school year. Girls and boys day, an educational tour for the ninth grade, a trip for the seventh grade, Alpine day at Lehl, Lincoln Ladies tea for the senior girls, seminary graduation, commencement, to say nothing of term papers, tests, and daily preparations which must be in will keep every boy and girl busy for this remaining short period. Then they will be free to go swimmng or pick fruit or go on vacation trips. Contrary to common belief these students are .not as happy td have summer come as they might be. I suppose it means more work than pleasure to a great many of them. I was surprised to find that even in the winter a great many ot the ninth grade boys and girls .earn their own spending money and even money for their clothes.
