DTK-DEXTFROM TRAILER CAMPS ER FACTORY COOPERATION Dear Voice of Sharon Readers : Accustomed as I am to the rigorous Northern winter, this In the Valley of the Sun, Is Indeed a real vacation to me. One netds no heavy coat and only the lightest wrap, at any time. What a thrll to gather, as we have done, oranges, grapefruit, lemons, tangerines, and we even picked a few balls of cotton, and gathered pecans, where last falls crop had fallen to the ground. Phoenix is surely a play ground for people from northern latitudes. In the trailer colony we contacted persons from Minnesota, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Nebra ka, Kansas, Idaho, etc. Many of them came regularly to Phoenix for the winter months. There were a few rainy days during our more than two week's stay In El Grande Anto Court, Phoenix, hat, the tun came out so brightly, as soon as the warm rain ceased that one couldnt think of it as an unpleasant experience. We spent two days visiting In and about Mesa, one of the most beautiful little cities we ve ever The seen, since leaving home. streets are outlined with palm and orange trees, are wide, straight, and have concrete roads and walks. Mesa boasts of the fewest automobile accidents of any city of its size In the west. The temple grounds too are exceedingly attractive. Here we met and pleasantly visited with Elder Louis Wells of Vineyard, who is an official guide on the temple lot. On February 5th we left those to travel to pleasant scenes Yuma. Leaving Phoenix we viewed the fine stock farms where thousands of Hereford beef rattle are raised for market. One Is amazed at the numbers of cattle on these farms. Soon we left this and came to real desert scenery sand miles with on miles of It. punctuated Joshua trees and giant Saguara, the later resembling giants with arms uplifted.
