A Column of Comment Wise and Otherwise The benefits of that Come on spirit as contrasted with the Don't do that" spirit, so often mentioned by President Watkins of Sharon Stake in his talks on helping young people, were beautifully illustrated in the opening party of the M Men and Gleaner Girls of Timpanogos, Sharon, Provo and Utah Stakes last Tuesday evening at Rosalawn. of Those hundreds young people dancing under the stars in the cool mountain air, scented with the fragrance of thousands of roses, were an inspiring sight. You couldnt help feeling a certain satisfaction and confidence in the future of the race with such a generation ready to carry on. Clean, unadulterated pleasure, -a ftnna a f !.. And incidentally, they may wake up some doubting Thomases, young and old, In Sharon to the fact that the community recreation center Is of some benefit after all. we have just read that W. J. (Jim) Cordner and Mrs. Cordner have served on the Old Folks committee for 88 years, nearly ten ears of which. Mr. Cordner lias been chairman of the Sharon Stake committee. In connection with these services, we recall a statement from member of Sharon Stake Presidency t'lat never once has it been found necessary to urge Mr. Cordner or any of his associates to do their duty. Rather impressive cmpliment we think. Unassuming and matter of fact, Mr. Cordner reveals in his services and respect for the aged a tenderness and a loyalty that is outstanding. And he Is not one whit ahead of his wife and other members of the stake and ward committees.
