It isnt every rural community that has a newspaper devoted specially to the development and progress of the community. Most rural sections are overshadowed by the activities of their larger neighbors the cities. And the press of the city is concerned largely with promoting business interests and community affairs within the city it elf. In the Voice of Sharon the three wards in the Town of Orem and the five wards in Sharon Stake outside of the town, are given a unique sendee. This paper does not attempt to supplant any other newspaper in this field, but confines itself to the promotion of all enterprizes which will develop the community. It records the happenings of the community. It brings news of the doings of each section to the other, and from neighbor to neighbor.. Since its advent the people living between Pleasant Grove and Provo City have the distinction of receiving more attention from other newspapers than any other rural community in the west. No doubt the service given by the Voice of Sharon prompted other newspapers to pay more attention to the happenings in Sharon. It began as a monthly, then was issued every two weeks, and for more than four years it was delivered free to each home in the area served. It is now published weekly and in order to pay only a part of the service rendered in getting it edited and printed, it is nyessary that there be a subscription price. Also it is necessary to have a regular subscription price to comply with the postal laws of the United Lamb, Han Bigelow, The Budding season is here. a special service, we are offering to propagate any special variety for our patrons.
