Commotion in the Halls During the change of classes there is a great deal of noise in the halls although it has been remedied a good deal during the noon hour because of the picture show every day. The noise that is made during the change of classes may cause quite a lot of unsatisfactory comm-in other schools as well as in our own community. When we have a visitor to our school he w'"I always form some kind of an opinion of the school. When a visitor visits our school and sees a lot of rowdiness going on in the halls he may not go away with the very highest opinion of us and it would be only natural for him to comment to others about us. I know all of you students would rather have little less noise and pushing and running in the halls. If each person would do just a little bit more toward this end I know everybody would feel a lot better. To those who eat their lunch in the halls: The janitor has an awful lot of work to do without picking up lunch papers onf the floor and paper stuffed behind the radiators. I know you will cooperate and better the condition of the halls. Personalities It For Boys Only Antics of our The Tigers were again called forth to battle, .ast Friday, at American Fork. The boys all felt tine before and after the game (they had a reason to be for they played the best time that they have played this year) for they surely had a lot of tuu playing against them big pine trees. Marrio Busslo was just about to lose his head when one of the mighty oaks picked him up and slung him around like a little doll, but Reed quickly came to the rescue and held Bussios head before anything happened. After the game he said that he didnt care so much about the way he was lifted through the air but he didn't like the Idea wueu the big fellow kicked his nice yellow pants. (Poor Busgio! It seems as though he Is always having a lot of trouble in a game.) Last Saturday, the members of both the Junior Varsity and the Varsityv4eams had the privilege of witnessing the Colorado U. Utah game that was held at the Deseret Gym. in Salt Lake City. The boys went up Saturday afternoon in various private cars and waited at the gym. two hours before they were allowed to enter. They had reserved tickets so they were among the first to enter. The game wag very exciting and proved to be of interest and help to the boys for they had an "airplane view of the rams and watched many different types and theories of basketball plays. Did anyone notice any tigers run up to their den when they were battling the Vikings last week? It seems as though the referees finally caught up with the majority of our players and insisted on calling four fouls on four of our men. If anyone was watching coach Peterson right closely, they would have noticed many tiny beads of perspiration come over his face when he had only four men left to finish the friendly battle". But due to the good sportsmanship of the Pleasant Grove Coach we were allowed to leave one of the disqualified men In In finish the game, otherwise It would have been five against four. The fast Dixon Flyers again brought another victory to Lincoln In the Junior Varsity division. They played a very fast game, as is the custom of the Lincoln basketeers, and came out on top with a score of There was much excitement In Athletes No. 2 both games, but In Interviewing several spectators afterwards, they stated that they never had seen such a rough, careless games as was the main varsity game that evening. New andUsedFurnirtue II' Rules lor Taking a Girl to a Dance Rule I: 3efore you ask a girl to go to the dance with you make sure she has an activity card; then wait until the last moment before the dance to ask her, and be sure to bawl her out for not having a date. Rule 2 Meet the girl at the door of the dance only; this saves extra walking. Rule 3 If at the dance you desire a treat such as a bar of candy, buy It while no one Is around, then yu can have It all yurself. Rule 4 While dancing s make a lot of noise; It attracts attention and is considered good taste. Rule 5 Dance with the same girl all the time and Bave yourself the trouble of getting used to so many different girls. Rule 6 If the girl is a poor dancer, tease her about It. This makes her feel go'od, as she will like you much better for It. Rule 7 When dancing, always stand on the girls feet, this wont give her a chance to get on yours, and make your shoes dirty. Also it will Bave you the trouble of leading her around. 7 English Books Shown f ( STOP Those Headaches, Eyestrain, Blurred Sight For glasses that give relief, Style and Comfort --s Dr. G. H.
