Show THE August, 1936 mo and What Are Doing They Whos EVA GILLISP1E, r; , Last Tuesday evening, August 25th, the annual corn roast of the Stake Board members, their partners and guests was held at the Giles Ranch in South Fork, Prov Canyon. Corn, grown and roasted as only L. L. Bunnell can do it, was the center of attraction at the dinner, where all sorts of good things were prepared and enjoyed by those assembled. A fine impromptu program was enjoyed ar md a huge bonfire, after which i eHns were served. Plan to patronize the different wards at the bazaar to be held in connection with Sharon Harvest Festival, September 7th in the Lincoln High School gym. The proceeds will go to the wards to help in the church-wid- e security plan. Quilts, aprons, childrens clothing and all sorts of miscellaneous articles will be on sale. Plan now to renew your magazine subscription, or if you are not taking it at present, consult your ward magazine agent and be sure and take our fine magazine during the com ng season. Of all the magazines in the home it is most used, with its fine lessons, and articles of all kinds. There are many fine stories and one act plays. Mrs. Daisy Nelson is Stake Magazine Agent. On Saturday 'afternoon ttie executive officers met at 2.00 p. m. at the local where Seminary building problems were discussed. At 3.00 P. M. all ward executive officers and class leaders met. Sister Howells spoke on the subject "Building an Educational Background" Mrs. Lydia Hogan of the stake board discussed "Lesson Objectives". A trio from Grandview ward, under the direction of Mrs. Charlotte Davies furnished a musical number. A social followed and dainty refreshments were served by the stake board members. Special numbers were rendered by a quartet from Sharon ward under the direction of Mrs. Nina Stratton, a solo, Mrs. Elva Elliott of Edge-moward and chorus by the singing mothers of Timpanogos ward led by Mrs. Jennie Farley. A report of the year's work was given by President Eva Gillespie. Mrs. Mary Stev art discussed the topic "Present Day Challenge" and the subject, "Relief Society, A Spiritual Force in Everyday Life, was given by Sister Howell. President Watkins gave a fine address, explaining the Church Security plan.
