A meeting of the stake scout work ers was held at the Seminary building Tuesday, August '29, to make definite plans for the seasons work, acording to Thorit C. Hebertsen. Recently the scouts of the Lake View ward held very fine outing at ' Strawberry, and the Timpanogos boys enjoyed a trip to the Granddaddy Lakes at the head of Provo river. Men. and women have learned with, sorrow that no structure in society can long stand that is not built on the principles of right moral conduct. All boys of Aaronic priesthood age will be eligible to enter a campaign which will commence September 15th and end May 15th, points being given for attendance at meetings and quorum activities performed. All those earning 450 "points during the eight months period shall become members of the stake Honor Club, which shgll be known as the Sharon Club, and during the summer of 1934 will-btaken on a trip to Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon. The Priest, Teacher and Deacon who gains the greatest number of points during the campaign will.be awarded a season-ticket and family to the Stake recreational program, which will entitle thain to the weekly moving picture show;s, Slid other entertain-tnen- s scheduled on this program. Also, the teacher and deacon who is leading the stake at the time of each quarterly conference, will be privileged to sit on the stand, and act as messengers for the Slake Presidency. The leading Priests quorum each quarter- will be honored by acting as at the quarterly conference. Each boy will bt given a record card at the commencement of the campaign, with his name, age, priesthood, and wafd printed. Each Sunday morning the quorum supervisor wil( pass each lfoy his card, and he will record his attendance at meetings, and activities performed during the week. These cards will be checked and the totals kept by the Supervisor. OnVpoint will be given for attend-- : ance at each of the folkving meetings: Priesthood quorum, Sunday-schooM. I. A., Sacrament meeting, cfuarterly conference, quarterly priesthood conference. For enrollment in seminary 25 points will be allowed, and an additional 25 points when the course is in the completed find credit given spring. For those priests who have been graduated from Seminary, 50 points will be awarded if they are members of the Sharon Association. One point will be given, for each of the following activities: Administering or passing sacrament, performing baptism, ushering, speaking or giving lesson, public prayer, bearing testimony, gathering fast offerings, ward teaching, assisting bishop, payment of tithing, reviving member who .has been absent four consecutive times, anil special assignment. This plan has been presented to the stake presidency, high council, bishoprics of wards, and quorum supervisors, and has Been endord hyphen:.
