It was reported that the Christmas bazaar had been very successful and everyone was thanked for their help. Following the business meeting a program was given by the Uintah Basin Area Guide Dog Club. They demonstrated how they train and care for their animals. It was reported that it takes ap- proximately $10,000 to produce a single-perso- n dog unit, but there is no charge to the blind person receiving the dog or for the training with the dog. Included with the presentation was a film explaining how the dogs are trained. After the program, members of the Preceptor Pi presented the club $250 to use for their guide dog project. It was announced that the club Christmas party will be at Theda Murrays home. The door prize was won by Theda Murray. Janice Bigelow, camp captain, ducted the meeting. A history of the first ten years of the camp, prepared by Laura Chew and Alta Winward, was read and discussed instead of a pioneer history. Christmas The lesson, Reminiscence was presented by June Christiansen. Members shared their own Christmas memories and refreshments were served. There were 12 members present and two guests. Members are reminded that the Legion Hall is now open three nights a week, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for their convenience and pleasure. Any Legion member is welcome and may bring guests. The New Years Eve party and dance will be held Dec. 31. annual Christmas Ball at Uintah High School which will be Saturday, Dec. 14. According to members of the Boys League, who are in charge of the ball, this will be the last boys choice dance until the February Preference Ball. The dance will be in the small gymnasium in the midst of decorations designed by the Boys League. Wayne Young will furnish the music.
