Uintah FFA participated in 12 of the 14 contests held. Uintah FFA won two of the slate contests and placed in the top three in three other contests. Uintah II As Food Science and Technology team placed First. Team members are Cassie Johnson, Chclsic Cook, Amber McKee and Meagan Rushlon. Team manlier Johnson placed first high individual in the contest and received a full tuition scholarship to Utah State University, of Nutiiiion and Food Science. Team member Cook placed second high individual in the contest. The Uintah I FA Horse team also placed First. Team members aie Titlany l.mery, Tilfiu-- I.anee, Marlynn Chew and Alexis Fuusett. Team member Emery placed first high individual in the contest while teammate Lance placed third high individual in the contest. These two teams will join the Uintah ITA Natural Resource team and piepaied public speaker competing in FFA National contests held during the I I A National Convention in Louisville, KY next October. Uintah TVs success did not stop. The Uintah Daily Cattle Evaluation leant with Nick McKee. Torrie McKee, John Gillman and Janessa Chew As Nursery Landscape team also placed third with placed lliiul. Uintah I FAs Agricultural Mechanics team with Reuben McKeachnie, Mitch McCarrcl, Devin Cook and Garrett Harrison placed 4th overall. Team member Harrison won second place high individual in the contest. The Uintah I Fa Floriculture team did extremely well with a 4th place finish as well. Team members are Amber McKee, Aimee LeFevre, Amber UcFevrc and Clu-lsiCook. Uintah FFAs Livestock evaluation team received a gold ranking and placed in the top 10 out of over 40 teams competing in this event. Team members are Cassie Johnson, Tiffany Emery, Adam Goodiiih and Alexis Fausett. The Poultry Evaluation team received a silver ranking and placed in the top 10 of this event with team members Chelsie Slangh, Alexis Eausett, Adam Goodrich and Dallen Cook. Uintah's Meats Evaluation team with Cassie Johnson, Nick McKee, Megan McKeachnie and Adam Goodrich received a brone rating. The Dairy I nods team with John Gillman, Torrie McKee, Meagan Rushlon and Dallen Cook also received a brone rating for their efforts. 'I here were over 215 teams from 62 FFA Chapters from across Utah that competed in this years state events. Many contests had over 25 teams in them. Overall out of the 62 ITA Chapters in Utah, Uintah FFA placed 2nd for the Utah FFA Career Development Events Sweepstakes award. This is up two spots from last year. Out IT A members winked very hard at preparing for these contests and their efforts ate paying off.
