Show Utes Celebrate Homecoming The Annual Homecoming Day at Uintah High Friday Sept 25 began with an alumni assembly for the student body The assembly was under the direction tion of Sam Snyder and Richard and a a d proved to be full of entertain entertain- entertainment ment The highlight of the assembly came when the 1964 Homecoming Ing Queen and her two atten atten- atten attendants were announced SHAUNA LEMON Spanish Club lub candidate reigned over the Homecoming events as Queen and Kay Henderson Science Club candidate and Dorthy Morse Yearbook can can- candidate were attendants The parade began at The Uintah High School Band and the Pep Club lead the parade The Homecoming queen and her two attendants were next in inline inline line and were In front of the Spanish float The Sophomore float preceded the car with the Journalism candidate Sharon Sharp THE PEP CLUB float was followed by the Pep Club can can- candidate Margie Glines Ganes The Sen tor float then followed The FF Club float was followed by the CandI Candi- Candidate date Velyn Frandsen and the FF A candidate Rae Lynn Winkler The Yearbook float preceded the Junior float and the Com Com- Commercial mercial candidate Renita Ris- Ris Risner ner followed THE THESPIAN float was followed by the Thespian can can- candidate Carol and preceded the Student Council float The Ashley Valley Junior I High wound up the parade with witha a stirring rendition of The Wayward Wind The Science Club float was scheduled to appear in the par par- parade ade but due to a misfortune with the wind was unable to appear The Junior float took first place in class competition fol lowed by the Sophomore float in second place and the Senior float in third place The Pep Club was awarded awarded citizenship points for having the best float among the clubs THE HOMECOMING Day was complete for students of Uintah High when the Utes won the football game over East EastA EastA A victory dance was held af ter the game for all alumni and Iter present students of High Carbon |
