introduced to the convention the candidates received a warm reception the delegates were nvere seated and after the report of the committee on organization and order of business the uintah county Demor catle platform was read and adol adopted ted the platform we the democrats of uintah county in convention contention assembled en dorse the utah state damoc democratic r abic platform adopted at salt lake city utah in its entirety except as to the suggested route of the denal high highway iNay and commend it to the voters of uintah county as a clear enunciation of those principles which stand for oqual quality ity mor morality allty and an honest application of clean business busine siy methods in the administration of the affairs of the state and nation the political history of the nation since it passed under republican control Is replete with examples of selfishness and avarice and the political awakening that is sweeping with irresistible force over the nation is an evidence of the distrust that has crept into the minds of the people and the determination shown to clean house and place the government again in the hands of the people and rid it of the sinister influences fluen ces which have so SD flagrantly used the powers conferred by the people tor for private ends and without consideration for the interests from which this power springs the common people we endore the stand taken by the utah state Conen convention tion in favor of state wide prohibition and call ati to the fact that despite the general feeling among the f fathers and mothers of the state in favor of protection for the young manhood of utah that the republican state conventi showed in the treatment of this question their willingness to trade the real vital interests of the people for political advantage by forming an alliance with ith the liquor interests of the state and we call upon the mothers of uintah county to register their protest against such action we pledge our candidate to the state legislature to use his best efforts for such legislation as will meet this issue in line with the state platform we pledge our candidate to the state legislature to use every effort toward the
