Show william rudge pioneer maeser merchant dies from paralytic stroke maeser masser correspondent the community lost one of ct its met mist highly respected citizen citizens wen william rudge baeser merchant passed from this life monday october 18 at 6 30 a m at his home in maeser the previous monday evening mr wr nudge suffered a paralytic stroke of the right side due to high hood blood pressure all that medical skill and losing loving hands could do was dooe done to alleviate the sufferer but to to av a 11 defor be lay in a state ot of ubron at tines times suffering ln in tensely from the time ot of the stroke until death came william pudge budge was visa born in orde hire england october 7 1860 IS 60 and was the child of william and Mi margaret rgaret ro robert berts rudge their eldest child being a daughter who died in burlingham england about twenty five years ago on february 13 1897 mr rudge married miss sarah 4 austin and august 5 of the same 1 year they left their native nathe home to come to amer lea ice after being converted to the church of jesus chrict of latter day dar saints by elders in england having been members of the church 01 ol england before their con vermica they came to america in company with onie some of the elders and after visiting la in Bri brigham ghant city tor for six week weeks came directly to vernal where they have sinie since resided scon after coming here mr rudge filled a two years mission and on hta his return home practiced as a black smith in masses about eight years ago mr hudge bought the maeser store which he was still operating at the time of his illness during tle years mr rudge has served the public be has bas made many friends and all have found hi him m to bo be a man ct cf honesty and integrity he ile was quiet and un assuming spending hie his spare time in hta his home of which be he was wets very fond mr SIT survived by his ife to whom the entire common commonalty ity ex tend their deepest sympathy in her hour of sorrow funeral services will be held friday at two 0 clock in ole maetter ward chapel |
