Many who want to cook better, cleaner, and less expensively, are cooking with propane gas. There are a lot of reasons. Perhaps most important is the money saved and energy conserved by propane stoves. Various features now available can reduce gas consumption from 30 to 50 percent, d representing a savings of over the energy used by similar appliances just five years ago. Part of this greater efficiency can be attributed to using heavier insuinlation. Another energy-savinnovation is oven restructuring to . Bereplicate the convection-typecause heated air is drawn from the oven down onto the food, cooking is faster and more efficient. Since 90 percent of the heated air is recirculated constantly, heat loss is minimized. And pilotless spark ignition not only keeps the kitchen cooler by eliminating the standing pilot light, it also reduces gas consumption. Not all of the benefits associated with gas ranges are in the area of savings. Other innovations abound. cooktop offers The the option of odorless, smokeless indoor grilling with gas. This combination allows you the added dimension of speed and convenience while still providing the qualities of propane gas cooking for your everyday broiling and baking needs. For the days when you dont have time to watch the clock, gas ranges can do it for you with the programmed cooking options. Just dial the desired time and temperature and the oven does the rest.. .starts and stops, watches the meat, even holds your food at the desired temperature until serving. Gas Experts at the National LP Association estimate that with the money saved by using propane gas ranges, you can cook 200 extra meals per year. You can clean up in another way: the burners can go into the dishwasher. No wonder even chefs prefer gas for cooking.
