Honeycutt Ford and Floyd marry August 22 Ashley Lynn Ford and Andrue Dee Floyd have chosen to be married August 22. An open house will be held in Vernal from 7 to 9 p.m. August 30 at 760 West 2000 North. The bride is the daughter of Jill Smith and Honeycutt to wed at Kokopelli Park and Paul Ford of Heber City. The groom is the son of John and Janeen Floyd of Vernal. In case of inclement weather, the open house will be held at the Ashley 2nd Ward, 2575 North 1500 West. Fresh salsa earns County Fair ribbon Fresh salsa with lime tempted the Uintah County Fair judges taste buds, and sent Colleen Johnson home with a first place blue ribbon and $100. Also winning recognition for their Fair salsa entries were Gam Birchell, second place and $50 for his Tomatillo and Chipotle Chile Salsa, and third place $25 winner Debra Basham. The groom is the son of Linda Honeycutt and Steve Honeycutt of Vernal. He is a 2001 graduate of Uintah High School. He is currently employed with Patriot Drilling. Uintah High School class of 1948 holds 55th class reunion Good times and memories were had by the 56 classmates of the UHS graduating class of 1948 who met Saturday, August 23. The group met at Gardners Park in Dryfork Canyon for breakfast. In keeping with class tradition, Duane Hall entertained the group with favorite songs, and Wayne Hall presented one number. Classmates from Oregon, California, Arizona. New Mexico and Nevada joined their Utah counterparts. A dinner was held in the evening at the Golden Age Center where 74 classmates and partners enjoyed dinner, dancing and a special program. Senior class Bob president W'illiams entertained with a humorous talk followed by guest speaker Joan Caldwell, relating, Growing Up in Vernal. Highlight of the evening was the presentation of a red and white Block U quilt.
