Show DEATH or MRS YOUNG lui mrs esther young passes away aay after years of suffering last monday morning after acon R con flicht with one of the moist moat unconquerable afflictions known to humanity aunt esther young gave up the unequal struggle for four long orf years she has suffered buffered from cancer her sufferings have been onteme but she has home borne them with remarkable fortitude and to the last she exhibited the patience and hope fullness that has characterized her through nil all these years of pain and anguish I 1 tie fie noble spirit has departed from its ita earthly tenement and her mortal suffering is over her death occurred at the homp home of her demoted sister mrs W 11 II where mrs young has been for several weeks in life she ans atrue n true wife a devoted mother a faithful consistent latter day saint a choice neighbor wid unit a desirable member of the community a lofty high minded upright woman wherefore rhe her death during the noonday of life is ia a distinct loss to the community and a dire dim calamity to her husband and little childen chil dnn in their deep affliction the relatives can be assured of the most heartfelt public sympathy is deceased was the daughter of james Du dunajer rister and mary jones dunster of dorest dale salt lake county her birth occurred april ath 1860 at salt lake city on november 1880 she ahe was unitta in marriage to edward 1 J I young and their union has been blessed with eight children four boys and nn an equal number of girls all of whom are now living with her husband ard children she moved to vernal during the fall of 1887 and tl ti e family has resided hero here continuously since that date she was an acely i worker in various church organizations since 1894 she has held the position of counselor in the stake presidency of the young ladles mutual improvement association a position she still held bell at the time of her death in the relief society she was also an active worker until her impaired health made it necessary forber for her to discontinue her labors in that direction among her associates she was loved and respected and will ever be cherished in memory by the young ladies of this stake of zion it la Is but the truth to say eay her life was a successful one and has made its impression upon her children sis as well as those who have come within the circle of her influence iter her lat last words were amen then starting up as an in surprise she exclaimed mother after which her eyes were dosed closed arid and her life faded a ay as a child would fall asleep both the lin parents rents of mis young are dead bcd her father having passed away a f fe e months ago her mother has been dead several years she has haa several small children the youngest being about five yearn yean of age the funeral was held mt at tile the vernal ward house thursday forenoon As mrs young was a member of the naples ward the naples bishoprick presided at the services and the music was furm furni shei by the naples choir jn in the matter of decorations much taste had bad been displayed and the floral offerings were very nu numerous melous so large was the congregation that the hou house 8 C was waa filled those being from all parts of the county the services were mere brief but impressive elder 0 D allen alien offered the opening prayer the speakers speak era were elders albert G goodrich Good harden bennion and don B colton all of whom offered words of consolation and comfort and paid glowing tributes to the memory of the noble character whose earthly career has ended and over whose remains the last sad rites antea were being performed the benediction was pronounced by elder R S collett one feature of the services was two beautiful quartets by mrs bachara young mrs lucilla bassett david manwaring and E J winder A number of the stake officers of the young men mens a mutual improvement Improver rint association acted as pall bearers the cortege that accompanied the remains to the vernal cemetery was one of the largest we have ever seen rhese marks of respect show the high esteem in which deceased was held by the great multitude that is numbered among her friends frienda |
