J,- - V The darling of dessert cookery is cool chiffon pie. It is a double winner for spring and summer menus because it delights family and guests alike and it is so simple for the hostess to make. Thanks to reliable, unflavored gelatine, chiffon pies require little cooking and always have a velvety, airy texture. Fruit Festival Pie involves a new technique of gelatine cookery. By combining evaporated milk and concentrated lemon or limeade with gelatine, the pie takes less time to reach a firm it will set after about an hour in the refrigerator. consistency Garnish the pie with sliced strawberries, peaches, or other fruits. Fruit Festival Pie 2 envelopes unflavored gelatine iy2 cups cold water, divided V2 cup sugar Vs teaspoon salt 1 can (6 ounces) frozen lemonade or limeade concentrate, kept frozen Sprinkle gelatine over 1 cup cold water in medium saucepan. Place over moderate heat; stir constantly until gelatine dissolves, 2 or 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in sugar and salt. Add undiluted frozen concentrate; stir until melted. Stir in remaining V2 cup water and almond extract. Whip chilled evaporated milk in small bowl of electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form, about 2 minutes. Fold into gelatine mixture. Turn into crumb crust; chill until firm, about 1 hour. To serve, garnish with sliced fruit. YIELD: 1 pie. e To chill evaporated milk, pour into tray and freeze until soft ice crystals form around edge, 12 to 15 minutes. icy-col- Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Herron Larry Herron claims Miss Michelson as Bride Mrs. Larry D. Herron claimed Miss Christine Michelson as his bride in a ceremony performed in the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Bishop Andrew Nelson officiated at the ceremony. : Following the wedding the couple were feted at a wedding breakfast at the Coachman Pancake House by Mr. and Mrs. Herron, parents of the groom. Later that evening, the new Mr. and Mrs. Herron were guests of honor at a reception at the Grandalee Villa, Granger. The bride greeted her guests in a white crystal brocade gown with a crystal brocade train. Her elbow length veil was caught with a tear drop tierra. She carried a bouquet of white cybidiums with orange roses and white carnations. Attending the bride were Mrs. Sandra Hutchings, matron of honor, and Mrs. Evelyn Parkinson, Miss Geneal Lund, Miss Penny Michelson with Miss Donna Herron junior bridesmaid. Diane Hutchings was flower girl. Len P. Jones stood as best man, with Gary Salazar, Neil McGuire, Sunny Montoya, Greg Herron and Brad Hutchings as ushers. The brides mother chose a beige two piece lace suit with orange accessories, while the grooms mother wore a beige two piece knit suit with yellow accessories. Their flowers were white cynbidiums and orange roses. Mrs. Marilyn Huges, a sister of the bride, presided over the guest book. Patty Holmes, Mary Riley, Charlene Knadle and Kathy Nelson assisted with the serving. The bride chose a green and white jersey dress as her going away costume. The couple will make Magna, Utah their new home. Prenuptual parties were given by Mrs. Evelyn Parkinson and Miss Geneal Lund.
