Fifth Grade Students Prepare Missle Base Apparently somewhere we have overlooked a few budding young scientists in the field of Rocket and Missile Research and they have turned up in Mr. Braumbergers 5th grade classes at Oquirrh Hills, or so it would seem from reports given by LaRae Mendenhall, Cindee Atkinson, and Karen Pendleton. The students have with the aid of plastic models, cardboard, toothpicks, paint, etc., and a lot of good hard work, created a model missile base, complete with missiles, warehouses, weather station, sandy beach, rocket assembly center, space taxi and space station, some U3 pieces in all. This project was the result of a study of missiles and space trevel and the students have enjoyed working and learning at the same time. Other classes have been invited to visit the model base and have enjoyed the tour of the base and its various points of interest 1 U t X t-- |
