Since July 1, 1959, funds mainly from these machines have furnished five hundred and twenty dollars worth of visual care for needy families. This money was spent for visual examinations, lenses, frames, contact lenses, and visual training. As an added safety feature, all of the lenses for children were made impact resistant. With your aid we have been able to give underprivileged children the best visual care available. Our secretary, 'Clyde Pierce, has thank you notes from many of the children and school nurses stating their appreciation for the help the Kearns Lions Club has given them. These notes of appreciation are for you because it is only with the cooperation of civic minded businessmen like yourselves that the Lions Club can carry on its civic and humanitarian projects. Again we thank you for your past and we hope the same mindedness prevails of civic spirit in the future. Yours truly, T. P. Chelpas, O.D. Chairman of the Sight Conservation Committee C.
