Firms from all rural areas of the state were nominated. Presented at the luncheon session of the tenth annual State Economic Development Conference under sponsorship of the Utah Committee on Industrial and Employment Planning, the award goes annually to a firm outside the Weber, Davis, Salt Lake and Utah county areas which has distinguished itself by: 1. Evidencing initiative and ingenuity in establishing the business 2. Utilizing local materials and labor 3. Overcoming obstacles in markets and transportation to 4.
