I pursued the article thoroughly, even though our marriage has been interesting and I might add, and exciting for the past 17 years. happy Some of the suggestions I thought were worthwhile, and I decided to make a mental note of them and use them at the opportune moment. One of the things they mentioned in this article was that all husbands should kiss their, wives on the back of the neck once a day. This re- minded me of a ' few weeks a g o ' , when my wife : V said to me, How-Acome you dont kiss me on the p4Vw back of the neckfBV like you used to?y Pt, Without thinking . Because you dont I answered, wash the back of" your neck like you used to. This went oyer like a lead balloon, but we kissed and made up and everything was all 8 right. But I had a friend who always kissed his wife on the back of her neck. If you could have seen her face, youd understand. I had another friend once who took his wife with him wherever he went. She was so ugly he didnt want to kiss her goodbye " f W, Kay and this was a solution to his problem. Of course, she never suspected his real motive. She thought he loved her so much that he couldnt bear to be away from er and consequently they had a very happy marriage. Another suggestion was that the husband should always light his wifes cigarette. My wife chews plug tobacco and they didnt say how I could help her out in that department. The article says that when you sit down for dinner, never tell your wife that you had the same thing for lunch. I dont have this problem because what I get to eat at ome youll never find in a cafe. The article was not as onesided as most It even gave advice as to what a wife can do to make her husband happy. For instance, they tell the wives to feed their husbands a good dinner before they tell him all of their problems. My wife must have read this article because the other night when I sat down to eat she said, I made you a delicious dinner and I want you to enjoy it because as soon as youre done Ive got some real problems to tell you about. You know, I never enjoyed one bite of that meal. It tells wives how to translate their husbands comments. For instance, when he says You look all right, he might mean You look beautiful. All I can say is (Continued on Page 3) walks. The Valley View News will publish letters for and against the controversy. Xmas Sad for Bey of Five Although against their desire, the famihes of Utah have this e year arrived at a ., new traffic fatality record The diligent efforts of the law enforcement agencies just dont seem to be able to cope with the public drivers who insist on driving in somee instances when they should not be behind the wheel The reasons may be varied from over tiredness, illness, intoxication or improper education on how to handle a vehicle in a sudden case of emergency A driver must keep in mind at all times that he is not on the highway alone, and that other drivers must leceive consideration as well as be watched constantly The highly increased amount of traffic on the roads during the holiday season must be viewed and entered into with much caution exercised by all drivers If everyone observed all traffic rules and regulations and then obeyed them thoroughly, the percentage of traffic accidents could be cut down considerably along Fatalities or serious accidents are doubly sad when they occur during the holidays, for they are relived every year the season returns by friends and loved ones, whether it is the parent or the child that is missing from the all-tim- . family gathering. As a driver, do your best and then add a dash of consideration and courtesy for your fellow driver during the holiday season and all year round, to keep your families and friends alive for the next holiday gathering.
