BROCKBANK SCHOOL NEWS By Connie Whittaker Last Friday, December 18th, there was a basketball game held between the Brockbank Bees and the faculty. At the half the score was a close with the faculty ahead by one point. From the third shot a single pellet spattered through a front room window, narrowly missing the head of a woman, then lodged in a wall over the head of a sleeping nine year old girl. The shot that hit the Clawson home resulted when Deputy Smith, who was driving at high speed, hit a bump in the road while turning and firing. The chase finally came to an end when Deputy Fox rammed the patrol vehicle into the youths car in front of the residence of one of suit the youths. Included in the path of the raced track were the front yards of several Kearns citizens. The attention of Salt Lake County Deputy Don Fox was first aroused by the rate of speed the boys were driving. A chase that started at 4500 W. 5615 South at about 9:40 p.m., lasted for some 25 minutes through the various streets of Kearns. During the chase, Deputy Fox called for assistance and was joined by Deputy Don Smith, in another patrol car.
