Show Page 4 Thursday, April 16, 1959 THE VALLEY VIEW NEWS RENOWNED CHOIR TO MAKE LOCAL APPEARANCE TONIGHT When the Augustana Choir appears at Zion Lutheran Church, Salt Lake City, on Thursday, April 16, members of the audience will hear a disciplined group of internationally-known singers who have a mutual love of good music, but whose other interests are as varied as those of any other group of 70 college students. The young singers will be sponsored in a full evening concert of sacred and secular music by Lutheran Men Utah in their Salt numerous campus activities. The president of the studentbody and the editor of last years college yearbook are in the choir. On a campus of 1200 students, twelve choir members are officers of. academic and clubs and 14 are fraternity or sororsocieties, ity officers. Four of them have been named to Whos Who in American colleges and universities. Representing athletics are members of the varsity track and golf teams and the captain of the varsity wrestling team. Lake City appearance. Zion Lutheran Church, where the concert will be held, is located at 1070 Foothill Drive (2100 East) in Salt Lake City. The concert will begin at non-academ- 8:15 p.m. Among the touring choristers are future teachers, musicians, accountants, doctors, artists, geologists, of musical instruments. Fifty-fou- r musical the group lay instruments, of such a variety as to make up a small orchestra of choir members.
