CHURCH SKYSCRAPER IS NEWEST ADDITION TO SALT LAKE CITY Highlighting the sessions of Primary General Conference were the lovely pure voices of more than 400 children as they blended harmoniously in song during the concluding session Thursday afternoon. A dramatization of A CHILD OF WORTH, in music and spoken word, touched the hearts of those assembled. The presentation of a representation of a boy, Gary Adams, portrayed by three boys, a ages 6, 10 and 12, demonstrated that a childs eternal worth does not show through the rough, sometimes timid, sometimes hostile exterior. The 400 voice choir accented the theme as the audience witnessed flashbacks, as the story unfolded. Once considered a lost cause and a bad influence, Gary was befriended by an understanding Primary teacher who took an active interest in him. Others also showed a loving concern for Gary to help him recognize his own potential, the sketch brought out. To recognize the worth of children, and to teach them to walk uprightly before .the Lord, was the challenge issued in the portrayal of the story. Each child in the world today is a child of worth, but there are problems to overcome, challenges to be met, truths to be taught, so that the seeds of testimony may grow in the heart of the child.., the leaders were told by the dramatization. There is not one child who is not worthy of our love, understanding and help. In the last scene, 6 year old Gary stood alone on the stage. Take his hand in yours, for he is just a child living in a world he knows little about, spoke a deep warm voice. He needs you to teach him as others have taught you, giving him a chance to become what he is capable of becoming. Teach him the things that bring happiness . . . love; faith, hope, patience, and courage.
