Laundry expert Virginia White of The Miracle White Company says that the problem of "cooking something in the dryer is quite common. And that "something is usually crayons in sweet, loveable little Harold "Van Goghs pockets. "The laundry solution is easy if mothers will follow a few simple directions," says Mrs. White. To remove crayon from clothing, first scrape off the crayon with the dull edge of a knife. Next, to remove the stain and the rest of the crayon from the pants, work some liquid shortening into the stain area and rinse out with cool water. Make up a small amount of detergent paste by adding water to Miracle White heavy-dut- y laundry detergent and rub it into the fabric for 5 minutes. Then let stand for 20 minutes. If there is a chance the color might run, check by rubbing detergent paste jnto an unstained hidden part of the fabric, such as the inside of a seam or cuff. Put little Harolds pants in the washer and add 14 cup Miracle White laundry detergent plus Vi cup Miracle White Super Cleaner. Wash in the hottest water fabric will allow. That should do it until the next time little Harold Van Gogh attends art class. 1973 EAST 2 9IH SOUTH, Coll Bill SALT LAKE Pcttf e our i i I |
