Show LETTER FROM THE EDITOR At least, that is what I have learned this week putting together this issue. Having an aversion to certain things like mysterious fraternities, for example, can be overcome through research and enlightenment. This makes me wonder: how many concerns or fears do we harbor that are unfounded because of ignorance? Do we avoid other people and cultures because they seem weird or scary? Why? Though some fears are legitimate, it could also be argued that educating ourselves about those fears can help us be more proactive in avoiding or preparing for interaction with those situations. But when it comes to people, we should exercise a little sensitivity. Learning about other people not only helps dispel fear but aids in understanding one another better. Asking questions, being curious and willing to listen to people talk about their experiences can open your eyes up to a whole different world. Maybe you like your world; assuming you are reading this at UVU, you are probably middle-class and privileged, and your world is a safe haven from bad things. To you, I say, take a step out of your situation and listen to other people. We can all learn a few things from them. PHOTOGRAPHY CELES TE THO LEN ROS ENLO F EDUCATION DISPLACES UNEASINESS.
