Ice llorve/t If you like John Cusack, enjoy dark comedy, don't mind adult content, and have a free morning to catch a matinee, check out The Ice Harvest. It may not be the best film this season, but you'll be temporarily entertained. Cusack, playing a timid lawyer who defends mobster criminals, decides to steal over 2 million dollars from his crime boss and split town. As he and his partner-in-crime, Billy Bob Thornton, try to get away, they find many elements opposing their departure- the biggest of them being an ice storm. The predictable stor)' was a bit of a letdown, but The Ice Harvest deserves credit for its quality. The acting is great. Director Harold Ramis (Groundhog Day) turned this dark comedy into a classic 50s film noir. He covered every aspect of film noir to a tee which is something that rarely comes out in modern film.
