The School of Business reunion, which is held every year during homecoming, will be held in the east basketball court in the McKay Events Center on Nov. 10 at 6 SPORTS p.m. The reunion will; be open for all School of Business alumni and their families. The reunion will not only serve as a way to reconnect with "former Wolverines and update them on the on goings of the college, but it will also serve as a tailgate party for the basketball game that evening. The reunion will include food, door prices, and an overall family friendly atmosphere. School of Business alumni wanting to attend the reunion are encouraged to R. S. V. P. at 863-7122. The Student Alumni Association will be in the •Student Center in room 206 on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. The Student Alumni ' Association reunion will be open to alumni from other schools such as the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Science, the School of Technology and Computing, and the School of Science and Health who will not be holding specific reunions during the week of homecoming. The reunion will include heavy oeuvres, a special program, and prizes. TheSchoolofEducation* will be holding their first annual reunion on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. in the Education Building in room 133, the multipurpose room. For more information about the School of Education reunion, contact the main office at 863-8553. Scheduling reunions during homecoming week aljows alumni reconnect with their former school during a festive time and allows them to cheer on the school during a basketball game. Thumb wars kick off week of activities Ashley Robertson News Editor Out Door Education, along with UVSC Intramurals, will be hosting a series of events to kick off homecoming week starting Monday at eight a.m.. Students will compete with each other in contests that will try their mental and physical endurance, even outdoor survival skills. "This will be one of the best events we've ever done," Kendall Jex, Out Door Education coordinator, said. The first event will be the "thumb war, which is actually a see-how-longyou-can-keep-your-thumbon- a -remote- control-car competition. Contestants will have to place their thumb over a sticker; if you take yourhand off the sticker, or if officials can see the sticker, you're disqualified. Thumb war contestants will be mentally and physically challenged (such as given water to drink) to speed up elimination. Other events include a tent pitching contest, a croquet shot, and much more.
