Show NEWS A3 Dear UVU students, As we kick off a new academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome to each of you who have chosen to pursue higher education at Utah Valley University. This is a place of opportunity, and you are on the path to having a world of possibilities opened to you. If you are new to our campus, I hope you will take advantage of the many helpful people and resources we have to help you get acclimated. Our primary aim is to help you be successful. Whether you are a new or returning student, you are helping to fuel the positive energy that permeates this campus. The signs of UVU's growth and momentum are everywhere, from the dust of the new science building addition being constructed, to the hallways bursting with eager students like yourself. You help comprise one of the state's largest student populations, and many of the courses of study you pursue here come with the added context and depth of UVU's signature engaged learning emphasis. It is clear we are providing something here that students love and find valuable. As you begin a new semester of classes, labs, research and projects, I urge you to commit to habits of diligent study and scholarly exploration. Your time here will be all the richer if you fully immerse yourself in the academic experience. In addition, get involved in the many extra-curricular options available on campus. Join a club, connect with friends at a social activity or attend one of our NCAA Division I athletics events. The more you get involved, the more memorable your time at UVU will be. I want to express my highest confidence in you, and I pledge my best efforts to make your experience here enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. Go Wolverines!
