The Twilight Concert Series is one of those events. The concert series is a great part of living in Utah; the SLC Arts Council brings some really amazing and popular artists to the Beehive State free-of-charge to attendees. The council does a great job of consistently putting together award-winning events like the Utah Arts Festival last month and the concert series this month. Thank goodness for people who care about their community and do something to enrich it. Which brings me to my point: support local artists and entertainers. They give up time, money and fame (and don't think some of these artists couldn't be famous --or haven't!) to make sure our little community has access to high quality arts and entertainment. When you attend local shows and buy local art, you're helping people live their dreams and encouraging more to create. So just this once I'm telling you to make the drive to Salt Lake, listen to some good music and check out the vendors. And please, wear some deodorant this year. on the web www.uvureview.com/category/the-v July 8 Anastasia, a family historian at Ancestry.com helped a local boy with Sickle Cell disease find a match in his family for a bone marrow transplant.
