Campus police responded to the alarm and were able to determine the cause. Jan. 20 Liberal Arts • building, Room 101; Two calls were made to UVU police when two male students collapsed in the same classroom. Both students were evaluated by emergency medical crews and released on scene. The causes of their collapse have not been released. "The detector was close to some duct work, which caused it to go off/' said Sgt. Justin Sprague. "When they're close to ducts, they can fill up with dust and go off.11 Police had the detector cleaned and placed a shield over it to prevent it from filling with more dust.
