We say so much and do so much for our boys, in scouting and otherwise, that sometimes 1 fool our girls are almost forgotten. J should like my girl first of all to develop light health hahits. I believe firmly in the old adage: A Healthy mind develops in a healthy body." I should like her to become aware that life here is jubI what we make it. A perfect brain and a perfect body, fundamental as they are, are but the beginning, for all other good things in life are ours only if we want them enough to work and sacrifice for them. I want bet to realize that she places the limitation upon her own possibilities, that she makes of her life the abundant life only as she has the ambition and the desire to obtain such a life. I want her to know that she will be judged by what sho does when the physical compulsions pursuit of food, clothing, and shelter- are removed, arid she is left to pursue her dreams and her ideals. What she docs in these marginal hours determines what she will become. I want licr to know life is more than meat or the accumulation of material goods that these things are no guarantee to happiness. Almtract things as love, kindness, faith, are greater than all the tangible things the world possesses. I would like her to be conscious of the fact that sin has its prico, that both pleasure and pain yield their return. 1 hope she will see clearly and think rationally when temptation comes. I hope sho will recognize it, not fear it, and be strong enough to is ; Ulen Tells City Officials Many Exciting Experiences Editorial by Mrs. Mertle Bigelow Hawley) Guest no - overcome $T00,000,000 ?' ed portant construction Jobs In a aeora of foreign land, which tho Company had carried out in peat years.
