A broadcast is being prepared for April 12, in which it is hoped President Roosevelt will participate and also former President Hoover along with outstanding national figures. hmt Utah NEW HOUSES FOR OLD Fire Chief Thompson made this suggestion the other day regarding Provos Clean-u- p campaign: "Most of the people here can get now houses for their old ones by a few simple home improvements and just a little effort". The Fire Chief is interested of course in safety first, and he was thinking of the conditions in too many cellars, and attics, and closets, etc. He recommends that, any burnable material that is being charred by radiated heat from some pipes, should be immediately insulated or else removed and placed in a safer area. Furnaces and stoves should be checked for broken and rusted cleaned. Chimneys need cleaned out, and a hot ashes metal container provided. He urges also the removal of accumulations of paper, rubbish, and old and broken furniture from attics, closets and cellars. Then when the yard is cleaned up, gather up your paint rags, your cleaning mops, and any oily waste materials, which may ignite, and provide a tight cover for all such dangerous material until they are either burned or hauled away. It will pay big dividends too. Chief Thompson says, if you have an electric check up, on your fuse boxes, for the correct else of fuse, or for burned out fuses which may have been replaced by a coin or a piece of metal and also to replace your worn or frayed cords on appliances. "Get a new safe house for an old hazardous one I Lets make this years clean-u- p worth while, says Chief Thompson. thoroughly Kts, and should for cracks, the soot be I AM AN AMERICAN NOTICES LEGAL Goaaalt Oanaty UmPmUvs NOniV dot ar or INTENTION or INTENTION TO NOTICE CONSTRUCT CURB AND GUTTER AND CONCRETE WATERWAYS.
