It is all there, of course. But what are we fighting? Not the above mentioned things. But, rather, INDIF, FERENCE and INERTIA. Indifference is normal.' We glance at headlines and pictures with only one eye; we listen to radio and television commercials with only one ear, maybe only half an ear at that. We meet people, and' can't recall their names five minutes later. We read newspapers, magazines, see movies and plays and promptly forget what they were all about. We go through life generally with our minds only half on. Ordinarily our attitude is, "so what?" Indifference is what this paper has to overcome, not the Sixteenth Amendment or Foreign Aid. The other thing we have to overcome is Inertia. Inertia is a law of physics that decrees that a body in motion or at rest, resists change from being in motion or at rest. People hate changing their minds. People hate to change their habits or routines. It takes enormous persuasion to even make people do what they want to do. You don't like to pay your income tax. You would rather not pay it. Why don't you do something about it? Probably because you have inertia and indifference. So, before we can repeal the income tax, before we can eliminate waste, before we can do away with Foreign Aid we must do away with INDIFFERENCE been approved by the Judges of the Third Judicial District of the State of Utah as a newspaper qualified to publish notices, advertisements, etc., as provided by the statutes of the State of Utah. LEE ON TV STATEMENT OF POLICY Sod-Bust- er d, Sod-Buste- rs s), (R-Calif- .), "Sod-Buste- rs Sod-Buste- Sod-Buste- By J. Bracken Lee, Publisher This paper believes that the Constitution of the United States was divinely inspired and that it is the best guarantee of freedom and. equal justice for the people known to man. "Between m Fightreason Changes we intend For that to fight any change or violation of that document which may tend to weaken these rights which have been guaranteed to the people. We particularly intend to expose those who advocate less power in the people and more in the hands of the government; to expose them as advocates of reactionary government which always enslaves the people. Power Corrupts We believe the power to tax is the power to destroy and that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. For that reason we shall fight to the limit the power of the government to tax. Violations Expose We believe that those who seek public office owe equal consideration to those who pay the taxes as well as those who spend the money. We will expose those who violate this obligation without fear or favor, no matter who they might be. Both Parties We believe that both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party now represent a program which is destroying our constitution, our bill of rights and the freedoms guaranteed thereunder. For that reason we will not support, in any event, or at any time, any political party or candidate for public office who is not willing to unequivically pledge to support the great masses of the American people, who are willing to work for an honest living and we will oppose the greedy demands of organized minorities. Support Labor This paper will support the laboring men and women in their honest effort to organize for their mutual protection. This paper will oppose every organization and its leaders who exploit the laboring people and the public. Special Interest the Headlines" EVERY SUNDAY 1:45 P.M. This paper will oppose special interest groups in business who seek to pervert the legislative or government powers for its selfish use. We will oppose any business, business group or association which seeks to expoit the people. KUTVTV Reduce Taxes Channel 2 We firmly stand for reduction of taxes, abolishment of the personal income tax and abandonment of our present foreign policy that tries to buy friendship. News Sources You are not getting the truth about what is going on in your country. We will have news sources in Washington, D.C. and the major cities in the country. We will bring you news that is uncolored by the socialistic groups who want to give away both your freedoms and your money. We believe that honesty is the only policy and that seeking of the truth is not only the best form of education, but the only means whereby the human race may better itself. Based on this belief wc intend to run this newspaper to the best of our ability. ON Th s Public Supported Program is an Examination of... What Your Government is doing TO you rather than for you.
