Peterson director of the Extension Division November 5 of the Utali Agricultural College left for Washington to attend the convention of the Association of American Agricultural colleges and Experiment Stations and tin meeting of the American Association of Farmers’ Institute Workers which arc to he held in the nation’s capital November 10 to 14 Thanksgiving for the past decade has been looked forward to with considerable anticipation by the students of the Agricultural College The Turkey comes in for its share of the pleasure but of late it has had to play a minor role in the student’s thankful celebration Every one remembers how sweet the turkey tasted last The old turkey Thanksgiving himself seemed to think it a pleasure to die in order that he might make the celebrtaion seem more dear The gravy seemed to form itself on the platter into a 7 to 7 The fumes from the dressing wrote in midair “With the Ball in Aggies territory most of the time” The cranberry sauce took on fantastic shapes forming in line as if to do the snake dance imitating the mighty hosts of the Loganites when they took possession of Salt Lake to aid their ” boys in pushing the over “Utah’s” goal line Every real enthusiastic A C student helped tie that score As we left our College last spring and returned to the farm and saw the old turkey strutting about proudly we were forced to think of the day we buried “Utah” The cheer of Aggies ran thorugh our mind and we saw attached to his neck all those little symbols as “U Kant Do It” “Utah We’re Coming” The purpose of the latter gathering is to discuss such questions as The Obligation of the Farmers’ Institute to Dural People and Dural Conditions and How It Shall Meet these Obligations and “pig-skinkindred topics and to consider ways and means to make the agri’ cultural movable schools more effective in general Dr Peterson with A L Martin of Harrisburg Pa and L D Taft of East Lansing Mich form the committee on Movable Schools of Agriculture and a feature of the convention will he a report of this committee This national committee was appointed some time ago to watch over the movable school movement and present its findings as
