Show STUDENT LIFE his prison ship with feelings wholly joyful Many a one time farmer boy thinks of hardships incident to his old farm life with a certain wistfulness We believe that the impressions we have received while serving on the staff of this paper will remain with us longer and give us more satisfaction than those we have received in our idle hours during our school life The hum of machines and ring of hammers in the college shops will years hence be pleasant music to the ears of the students who have enjoyed the privilege of laboring among these sounds The student in chemistry soon learns to eniov the odor of even hydrogen sulphide if he has done his laboratory work with the proper spirit We love the scenes of our labors We do not however allow our “sentiment” to be entirely retroThe future of things is spective dearer to us than even their past Our 217 for the continued growth of this paper for an increase in the usefulness of such enterprises and for increased appreciation of all college student activities are strong indeed We are grateful for the gpod work done by the members of Student Life staff We have alwavs found them willing and not afraid of work They have made sa'cri fices for the good of the publication and their work will not be ' forgotten And finally we to whom old U A C has ever been so kind :are cbnstrained to hope that the difficulties affecting her will be ’removed that the citizens of the State of Utah will better recognize her usefulness and that the sunshine of a promising future wilL again brighten every nook of her cam-pu- s classrooms and corridors” Aufwiederseheil ! wishes i 1 |
