here on the campus as they were when you left There are a lot of things changed and the student body doesn’t number more than a thousand while all the girls don’t date as much as they did “before” things aren’t the same they won’t be until you come home to make them that way for it’s your presence that makes the school Some of us have come home The periods of service for eacli of us varies from three months to three years but we all have had a taste of the “G I” life and know what it is like The transition from military to civilian life is not easy We’ll Le frank in saying thatyou will find things pretty tough to get used to Civilians don’t act like “G I’s” no matter what people who haven't been both say Because this transition is hard when you “buck the line” of the Aggie student body have alone we organized to help each other and those men who’ll be joining us from time to time Each man who returns to school after a period of military service automatically becomes a member of this group The Aggie Veterans organisation is the first of its type in Utah and one of the first in the nation We aren’t “efficiency experts who are fixing things for the vets” we are your foimer buddies who would like to see you get “into” tilings as quickly as possible when you get home By the way don’t be misled by some sarcastic writers who don’t approve of the many agencies Uncle Sam has set up to aid the veterans Take it "from the men who’ve beer through the mill and you’ll be safe They all speak highly of the way they have been treated The men who do this work are chiefly 'veterans of the first World War who are acquainted with the problems that may come up Your homecoming may be next month or next year but keep in mind the Aggie Veterans We will be hoping to include you in our organization and to help you receive the benefits you so richly deserve Sincerely Aggie Veterans (ACP)— In the conquest of Ger Importance many the democracies must not overlook the tremendous influence of music as propaganda believes Dr Walter H Uubsamen assistant professor of music on the Los Angeles campus ’ of the Unitersity of California “The Nazis have used German music as a means of preparing the ground for political and economic agreements or to stimulate an aggressive nationalism in German settlement outside the Reich and in foreign countries They sent opera companies and orchestras through the Balkans to persuade the people that national socialism and German culture were one and the same thing The German colonies in Argentina have festivals of German folk songs some which are based on or out of Nazi texts “The democrai ies must make every effort to prevent the fostering of exaggerated nationalism through German music and at the samo time provide a background for
