Edward Davison Lecture 14 — 11:00 A M 7:30 P M 9:00 P M well-kno- Barrett 13— 11:00 A Thursday July Edward Davison Lecture Paul Fleming the Magician Dr Edward Davison British now and critic poet guest Professor of English Literature at the University of Colorado will lecture today at 11:00 in the auditorium and each succeeding day of the week ac 11:00 A M and at 7:30 P M on Thursday Dr Davison is exceedingly in the United States and at the Utah State Agricultural College for his brilliant and enon thusiastic lectures poetry 1925 Since he has spoken to universities colleges clubs and literary societies in thirty states and has visited the Utah State Agricultural College at two previous Summer Sessions Dr Davison was born in Scotland and spent most of his life in Great Britain He was the first Englishman to be awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship which he received in 1930 In America he was editor for two years of the Wits’ Weekly Page in the Saturday Review of Literature He is Program Director for the Annual Writers’ Conference held at the University of Colorado His lecture subjects are: “The Material of Poetry” “Poetry and the Novel” “Magic in Poetry” “The Modern Novel” and “Literature and Uliterature” PROFESSOR REYNOLDS TO LECTURE WEDNESDAY Professor H Reuben Reynolds of the Utah State Agricultural College Art Department will deliver a lecture on Special Lighting Effects Wednesday evening July 13 at 8:15 in Room M51 All interested in attending this lecture are cordially Invited y |
