Show Scholarships Suggested For Cellege Graduates Friday in the award assembly Dr Carl J Christensen of the University of Utah suggested that the university might be able to offer additional scholarships to cover tuition costs to Carbon College graduates this year These scholarships are intended for students whose financial needs would otherwise prevent them from attending college next to be Awarded It has been announced that the States Fuel Company Scholarship is available to the son of a company employee if he wishes to study coal mining engineering Several students who have held this scholarship attended Carbon College for the first two years The scholarship carries an annual stipend of $300 payable in sums of $106 at the time of registration and $1375 per month from October to May with the exception of January and March The student must maintain a 20 during the four years of the scholarship Applications may be obtained from the cashier at the plant office and returned by
