Hi-W- Publications to Send Editors to Conference The Carbonicle Next year’s editors of Carbon-icl- c and Yearbook according to present plans will spend May 23 to 27 in a trip to Stockton California to attend a publications conference Gilbert Hansen new editor of the Carbonicle and John Yearbook editor will the Far Western Journalattend ism conference in the coast city next week where nationally known authorities in the publications field will present the latest ideas Gilbert and John will ride down with Mr Justin Olsen and return by bus Veterans who are getting college diplomas this spring under the GI bill and who plan to take graduate work in the fall should file applications with the Veterans Administration now before they graduate according to a special bulletin released by the VA By applying for graduate GI bill training before they receive their degrees they will be permitted to go ahead with their studies this fall even though the date has passed July 25 cut-o- ff The VA said its ruling will also apply to veterans who finish their under graduate studies anytime after the cut off date and wish to continue advanced studies at the end of the vacation period The VA ruling is based on two provisions of the agency’s basic regulations on the cut off date One provision is that a veteran must be in training on the cut off date except for reasons beyond his control such as summer vacations The other provision states that they may progress from a basic or preparatory phase to an advanced phase of the course after the cut off date A veteran who completes under graduate
