has been conducting a routine school audiometer test this past week Mrs King reports that among the high school and college students a small percentage of loss of hearing has been found Those whose test shows unfavorably will be given another individual test The machine used for the second test is the new Maico audiometer purchased by the Carbon county school board This is a routine test given all Utah yearly throughout schools upon request It is sponsored by the Utah State Public Health Department and Board of Education D A R Contestant Chosen Each year a senior girl is chosen to compete with girls from South East and West high schools of Salt Lake City and Ogden and Weber high schools of Ogden for the D A R Good Citizenship contest This year it will be held on January 27 in the Newhouse hold in Salt Lake City The questions asked of the girls are simi-li- ar to those asked of an immigrant who wishes to become a naturalized citizen The girl chosen from Carbon is Sharon
