Y ou So. Didnt Previous to the election on the first of August, not a few of our too confiding and perhaps well meaning Gentiles endeavored to Impress ' upon us the importance of soliciting the apostate Mormon vote, which they were sure would be very large and which we could get by only asking for it. We essayed to convince our advising friends of the utter uselessness of such a move, and show them why we would be better ofT without the apostate vote than with it. But our argument availed nothing till after the result of the voting was made known. They claimed that twice one are two, or in other words, that a Mormon and Gentile vote would ' count two, sure. Did it? We trust our people will remember hereafter that in politics, like drongths, all signs and established precedents fail. Half Way.
