If this is the kind of a senator Harris would make, it is up to organized labor to combine their forces to defeat such reactionaries that will go down to Washington to defeat every progressive measure that has been enacted by progressive senators and congressmen, such as Senator Elbert D. Thomas, Congressman Abe Murdock and Congressman J. W. Robinson. Their labor record in the United States congress is one hundred per cent favorable to labor. Can labor afford to subscribe to such policies as advocated by Dr. Harris, or, are we going to Stand behind our friends of Labor? We know their records, they have been tried, and are trusted by the laboring people of the state of Utah. I am appealing to every member of the United Mine Workers of America and laboring men and Democratic candidates as Senator Elbert D. Thomas, Congressman Abe Murdock and Congressman J. W. Robinson, but get out and work for their election. Labor needs the help of these progressive men, if labor is going to get justice and fair play. We dont want company unions or any people that advocate such reactionary measures.
