CHARLES STELZLE Executive Director, Good Neighbor League , There has rarely been a time in history when hatred was more bitter than it is today. Nation is fighting nation. Labor is split into equally powerful bodies, majoring upon campaigns to destroy each others in fluence among the workers of the United States! It would be too much to claim that there resides in any one political element the cure for the conflict that is going on among men everywhere. Economic determinism, important though it may be leaves out of consideration great human passions as well as many other social influences which affect men. But after everything else has been said about bringing in the day when peace shall reign among men, it ,all resolves itself into a JERRY NEWS AND COMMENT (Continued from page 1) ly described, is that we could not escape being involved in a major war, that we must therefore cooperate to prevent war.
