Brown, president of the International Union of Mine, Mill and Smelter Workers, ha3 filed an action against members and members-eleof the executive board. The complaint- asks for a temporary injunction to restrain the board from formally hearing charges that Brown used undue Influence in bringing about his last October, and to prevent the board from nullifying the vote and naming James Robinson, the defeated candidate, as president. The temporary injunction was issued by District Judge Roger I. McDonough. Brown sets forth in his complaint that Robinson petitioned the board to declare the vote for Brown null and void and to declare Robinson president. He declared the board is investigating Robinsons charges contrary to provisions of the constitution of the union. Judging by the actions of the defeated candidate, it seems that he cant take it. Fifty charter members were obligated by A. P. Kohlenberg, grand lodge representative, who was in charge of the meeting. Frank Bretzing assisted Mr. Kohlenberg in the ceremonies. Immediately following the initiation of the new members, temporary officers were elected who will serve until January, when the charter will be received from the International Association of Machinists, after which regular officers will be elected to serve for the year of 1936.
