The nerve of them! I say America first and if (we really don't) have anything left it could be shared with our allies (not our enemies). Our own people cant afford to buy our food, lumber, etc., because of shortages caused by frea ish weather and elements and because our government sends all our very best foods and building materials to our enemies. It is creating more bitterness and hatred not only against our enemies, but even among our own people. If the authorities. can't see the similarity between our people and the people of France just before the Bastile incident, they'd better wake up! The Arabs are threating to assassinate all Americans in their country because they think (it hasn't been proven) that United States was aiding their enemies. Let us all wake up and do something before our country becomes the Disunited States. Respectfully yours, Mrs. D.A. Easling Ogden, Utah are . . Nixon. for 6. Dear Editor: The irate housewives, who should be irate, have taken dead aim on the price of meat by boycott. Unfortunately, they are going to make a large number of people suffer and lose their jobs who don't deserve to since they had nothing whatsoever to do with the high price of meat. The real culprits are the Congressmen and the Administrations who have spent, billions beyond tax income and have eroded and ruined the value of the dollar. Individual welfare Every able-bodie- d What is Sovereign Immunity? Sovereign immunity is a concept that means the king, or his agents, can do no wrong. There are no restraints upon their acts against the citizens. The citizens are allowed no redress against criminal acts of the king or his agents. The will of the king is supreme and subjects are considered to have no rights whatsoever. In researching the subject, it appears to be impossible to determine the exact origin of sovereign immunity. The fact appears to be definite, however, that it has historically served other purpose than to protect criminals in their crimes against the government from prosecution citizens. It exists whenever and wherever tyranny exists, and in a direct proportion. Tyrants have always claimed it except when free men have banished it. The two most recent and demonstrable cases where sovereign immunity was banished were when the freemen of England demanded their rights to their day in court and the Magna Charta from the tyrant King John at swordpoint. The other was when the American patriots of 1776 abolished this concept in America when they declared the Declaration of Independence and later established the Constitution. Theframers of the Constitution were very familiar with tyranny and were determined to give the American people protection against Provided for Suit Against Government Agents Article 111, Section 2 of the Constitution provides citizens the right to access to the courts excluding no one this right nor exempting no one from being sued. This right to suit against government agents guarantees that the agents will observe the law. For if the government agents are liable for their actions under the law, they will obey it; But if they are protected from suit, they can consider they are above and beyond the law and there is no restraint upon them. No Place for Sovereign Immunity In America Under American Law, all are subject to its control, citizens and government agents alike. But sovereign immunity has crept in and is allowing government agents to perpetrate innumberable crimes against the citizens. and must be Sovereign immunity is abolished once again in America.
